Upcoming event: Alternative Dispute Resolution Training to Strengthen Community-Centred Conflict Resolution Mechanism

The Centre for Inculturation, Mariapolis Piero, Kenya, announces a two-day Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR/ODR) Training Seminar, scheduled for December 15th and 16th, 2025, from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. Held under the theme ‘From the court system to the community-centred mechanism.’

The program aims to empower individuals and institutions with practical skills in mediation, dialogue, and digital dispute resolution methods.

In many African communities, conflict has traditionally been resolved through relational and dialogue-based approaches that prioritise harmony and restoration. This training builds on that rich heritage, offering participants tools that blend cultural wisdom with modern ADR and Online Dispute Resolution (ODR). It forms part of the Centre for Inculturation’s ongoing commitment to nurturing peaceful coexistence through culturally grounded palaver inspiration.

The seminar will be facilitated by Dr Rosaline Manka, a lawyer and lecturer at the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM) in Cameroon. Her expertise in legal education and community mediation brings valuable insight into both classical and emerging conflict resolution frameworks.
