Ongoing Event: Cohort 2 of our 40-Hour Professional Mediation Course
What an inspiring journey it is this week!
29th July to 2nd August 2026.
Participants have been deeply engaged, connecting mediation with real-life experiences and discovering practical ways to transform conflict into opportunities for dialogue, understanding, and reconciliation.
During a reflection a participant reminded us of the African proverb:
"The person inside the burning house cannot extinguish the fire." This emphasised the importance of a neutral third party in conflict resolution.
And a memorable reminder from another participant that is already motivating fellow mediators:
"Check yourself before you wreck the process."
These insights remind us that effective mediation begins with self-awareness, empathy, and the wisdom to listen deeply.
At the Centre for Inculturation, we are encouraged to see this training contributing to our mission of promoting peace, justice, reconciliation, and integral human development. In doing so, we contribute in the broader vision of the Universal Catholic Church of synodality fostering a culture of encounter, dialogue, human dignity, and peaceful coexistence among peoples and cultures.
